PAMA joins PRI

13 April 2010

The Performance Review Institute announces plans to offer training for Aviation Maintenance Engineer and testing for certifications. PRI will co-sponsor this industry service under the eQuaLified brand with PAMA. PAMA was formerly an affiliate of SAE International.

The currently issued SAE/PAMA Aviation Maintenance Engineer certifications remain valid and industry accepted. Future opportunities that are being developed include AME/AMS aviation maintenance fundaments certification and Master Rotorcraft Technician certification.

From May 1, 2010, PRI will offer training through the professional development program eQuaLearn. As an incentive for a class size of 20 or more, a 20% price incentive is offered for the first 5 host organizations. The testing will be transitioned to the PRI administered Learning Management System by March 31, 2010. Therefore, the expired or renewal certificates can be re-validated.

PRI further announces that an Industry Managed Council has been formed and active participation from industry and government has been from PAMA, PRI, Honeywell and others. A sub-team of the management council will oversee test data bank and administration, while the management council will prioritize the development of new programs.

Judy Rice commented “As the National Coalition for Aviation & Space Education Vice President and Aerospace Resource Center Program Coordinator, we are looking forward to working with PRI and PAMA on this exciting new initiative: growing our future aerospace workforce.”

Arshad Hafeez, PRI Director of Global Business Operations & Corporate Strategies stated: “PAMA is a welcome addition to the PRI Customer Solutions & Support (CS&S) portfolio of services designed to support the continual improvement of the aerospace industry.”

“PAMA is pleased to move this program forward under the eQuaLified brand,” noted Clark Gordon, Chairman of PAMA. “Aviation Maintenance Technician training has always been a big focus for PAMA and the flexibility of the eQuaLified structure allows growth for training programs driven by our members and the aviation industry,” he added.  “Partnering with PRI and other industry stake-holders gives maintenance training the momentum to move forward and insures aviation maintenance professionals are proactive in safety and education with up-to-date curriculum, meeting the demands of our industry,” he concluded.
